One of the coolest combos of the UK 60s scene – and one of the most obscure as well – a very hip instrumental group that was equal parts jazz and soul, with a vibe that was somewhere between Stax Records and mod London at the time! Hammond figures strongly into lots of these songs – mixed with some strong trumpet lines from Mike Cotton, and tightly vamping grooves from the rest of the group – drawing inspiration from the same American soul jazz that was a huge influence on Georgie Fame, Zoot Money, and other contemporaries. A few cuts have vocals, but most are instrumentals – and titles include "Watermelon Man", "Chinese Checkers", "This Little Pig", "Pills", "Walk On The Wild Side", and "So What". Features bonus tracks "Beau Dudley", "Like That", "Harlem Shuffle", "Round & Round", and "I've Got My Eye On You". (Limited edition of 500!
