RARE original Swiss first pressing of "At The Zoo" by The Metronome Quintet, released on Columbia Records (1969).
Very much an easy listening jazz record in the (let`s say) Dave Brubeck vein, "At The Zoo" is most sought after the world over for its magnificent pop-up gimmick cover. Surely one of THE most expensive covers ever produced, the zoo animals pop out of the gatefold sleeve when it is opened up. Also, only finest quality materials and (Swiss) workmanship were employed in the production of both music and sleeve!
"At The Zoo" also features Swiss experimental/electronic whizz kid Bruno Spoerri on assorted electronics, horns and...on theremin.
GRADING:
MINT(-) COVER. Fully laminated sleeve with pop-up gimmick gatefold in perfect condition. Please see photos for details.
MINT- RECORD, played maybe once or twice.
