Description
You are bidding on a rare, original, vintage, jazz, LP record album, from 1958, entitled, "The Marty Paich Quartet featuring Art Pepper", on the Tampa record label, #T-28. This is the original pressing with a deep groove on the labels and V-6149-1278 etched in the Side 1 trail-off vinyl and V-6149-1279 etched in the Side 2 trail-off vinyl. The classic black Tampa labels with silver print are in very good plus to excellent condition with only some very light wear by the spindle holes. The vinyl is in very good plus to excellent condition with only a few very light, tiny spots of wear . Side 1 vinyl has a few ultra faint scratches, observable with scrutiny under intense light when tilting the record back and forth and mentioned only for the record collecting perfectionist. The vinyl has a beautiful appearance. The mirror-like vinyl is tremendous. The jacket is in fair condition with edges taped on the top and bottom which has yellowed with age, some spots of fraying on the left edge, some right edge light wear with a very small gouge. The white background of the front and back covers have very light, scattered soiling. There is corner wear. There is 2 X 2 inch square paper tear on the front cover jacket by the top edge. However, with this being said, the photos of Marty Paich, Art Pepper and the band members, on the front cover, are nice. Please see the detailed photos. This is a 3-day, no reserve auction.
