THE LOVING CUP - THE LOVING CUP - DOUBLE LP GATEFOLD - JORDAN RECORDS #7030 - 197? - PRIVATE PRESS - TROY, MICHIGAN

This is one extremely rare and hard to find private release by this loungey soft rock quartet from Troy, Michigan.  There's a mix of covers and one original composed by bassist Vinnie Pelletier.  The songs range from funky lounge to jazz to soft-rock...one may even say it's sleazy, one may say it's cheesy.  I say it's SPLENDID!  The record was privately released on Jordan Records, which I guess is keyboardist Danny Jordan's label, who also produced it.  I believe this record was from either Vinnie Pelletier's private collection, or his parents collection...as the lot I aquired had a number of records with Vinnie Pelletier on them, such as Larry Santos (two of these which were signed to Vinnie's parents). 

Grading: VG+ ... Records are a strong VG+, disc 1 is NM, disc 2 has a few surface marks and no scratches.  The jacket is a VG grade, and has splits on the top on both sides of the gatefold, but the bottoms are fine.  Edges show some wear, but the most obvious wear is at the top right corner on the front, which has a half-inch bend.  The rest of the corners have only normal storage wear.  Back side shows average wear also.   Inner gatefold photo is in great shape.  The labels are white and are in great condition with no yellow tint.  Side four label has a spindle mark.

This record is still in marvelous shape for it's scarcity, and all copies i've seen documented usually have splits in the top, just like this one.  The chances of ever finding this record again will be slim to none, so bid away and enjoy!!
