A word about freight: No matter what Ebay says, we charge $ 5.90 for media mail and $8.00 for priority mail for domestic shipping. Overseas is $16.00 for first lp and $3.00 for each thereafter, if you get over 4 lps then the rate goes up to $4 each, because we have to ship priority mail. When you place a bid on this item, you acknowledge this. They do not take into account, the box price nor any other expense in mailing (petrol, employees etc). This is our rate period. We've had a few complaints about this, but we are in business to make a profit (god forbid). Thanks for understanding. What you are bidding on is a stunning FACTORY SEALED lp of THE LEWIS AND CLARKE EXPEDITION: SELF TITLED. This is an original Colgems Records release, Still factory sealed. The Lewis & Clarke Expedition was made up of three members of the so called "San Antonio Mafia"; John London played bass, and was Michael Nesmith's best friend and stand-in, Travis Lewis (real name: Michael Martin Murphey) wrote the songs and played guitar, and Boomer Clarke (real name: Owen Castleman) played guitar. Nez knew all three before The Monkees, back in Texas. Rounding out the group was Ken Bloom, who played guitar and keyboards, and Johnny Raines, the drummer.
One could surmise that the Lewis and Clarke Expedition actually began a few years before the Monkees. In the mid 60s, when folk was all the rage, there was a folk ensemble called "The Survivors" which featured Michael Nesmith, Bill Chadwick, Owen Castleman and Michael Martin Murphey, and John London. Mike and Bill would go on to audition for "The Monkees" (only Nez would make it, of course), and the remaining dudes would eventually form The Lewis and Clarke Expedition. Cool.
If you need a copy of this it don't get any better. Own a piece of rock history. STUNNING.
This is coming from the estate of a gentleman who bought records when they came out and never bothered to play them.

NM: We never rate records this way, someone can find a flaw in the records even sealed....
VG+ :Most of our records fall into this range. Some will be new and unplayed, some will have a few marks, but well taken care of and should play fine.
VG: There are a few marks and scuffs and will have a little noise, but still well enjoyable.
VG- : We will not list these. Only buy them if you have to have them.
FACTORY SEALED: These lps are a good as you can get, bear in mind it may have a piece of dust on it. It may have a tiny ding on the corner, but what do you expect for records that are 30-40 years old. They are well worth having and probably have less damage on them than you do. (I'm only saying this for people who expect these things to be totally flaw free after 30 years, if you are that critical DON'T BID, I REPEAT DON'T BID!). 99.9% of you will be well happy with them.
How we grade covers:
NM: We never rate covers this way, you will find a flaw even if we condider perfect.
VG+ This is not mint, there may be a few scuffs, tiny seam splits, mabe a piece of tape, but the cover still looks good considering it's age.
VG: This will be very noticeable larger seam splits, repairs, somewhat worn, but still ok.
VG-: We will not list these.
