THE LEMON FOG – Summer With The Lemon Fog. Lion Productions LION LP-207 / Return To Analog International RTAI 027. SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally recorded in 1967-1968. This 15-track compilation issued in 2025. Comes in a clear outer mylar sleeve with resealable flap and hype sticker, as shipped by the label; ships as received. Remastered from the original tapes. Includes singles and previously unreleased versions/outtakes. Comes with an informative set of liner notes. Limited to 300 hand numbered copies (#125 / 300, all black vinyl); 150 for US distribution and 150 copies for Canadian distribution; (#001-150 for US and #151-300 for Canada).
MEMBERS: Ted Eubanks (keyboard, 12-string guitar), Bill Simmons (lead vocals), Terry Horde (lead guitar), Chris Lyons (drums), Danny Ogg (bass), and Keith Manlove (guitar, who had left the band by the time these recordings were made).

DESCRIPTION: The spacey psychedelic sound of The Lemon Fog never sounded better than with this release, which gathers all of their singles, unreleased outtakes, and complete versions of Summer, Lemon Fog, and Day By Day, — everything from the original master tapes.
Hailing from Houston, Texas, The Lemon Fog blew many minds during 1967-68. Their first single Theme For The Living Eye (changed to Lemon Fog upon release) was a psych-pop flower power masterpiece, a harbinger of sophisticated psychedelic masterworks to come from the band; the b-side, Echoes Of Time, was glittering and brilliant, reminiscent of the British psych scene. The second Lemon Fog single, Summer, remains the signature track of the band, with its moody and introspective sound. This was no typical up-beat teen summer song; it was about alienation and boredom. Ongoing experimentation with new electronic sounds became a hallmark of The Lemon Fog recorded legacy. The surreal lyrics and tight playing of The Lemon Fog are remarkable enough — even more so knowing that the band members were in high school when these sophisticated psychedelic masterpieces were recorded.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers with inside packing.

These items are placed inside of a clear poly outer sleeve upon their receipt by me

MIX: This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.
