When it comes to desired Xian LPs this record always finds itself mentioned at the top of the list. The amazing self-titled Last Days album is easily one of the rarest Christian Folk-Psych outfits. The group was from Irving, TX which is part of the DFW Metroplex. The record was pressed by the Campus Enterprises Record & Album Company in Flora, IL in 1972. A huge draw for the album is that all of the songs are original compositions with both male/female vocals. Delicate and personal songwriting, washed in a golden reverb, it is sure to move both the follower and non-believer. The lyrics are sung humbly with a deep sense of searching. Below you can hear 6 of the 10 songs in their entirety. I know most people gravitate towards the blistering guitar driven "Only His Few", but I find myself enjoying the softer echoing sides of "His Love Is Real", "I'll Praise Him", and "Jesus Come Into My Life" which has some CSNY harmony influence. There are plenty more great moments throughout the album which draws me more and more into its mystery. Included with the LP is the original inner sleeve with lyrics and other info.
