Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my 60’s beat and psych and some 70’s progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare first Holland CLUBPRESSING pressing of The Kinks – Boek & Plaat on the Pye label, cat. no. DS 013 / SLPC 1006. This record was issued by the Dutch Book club, was only available to members of the Book club “Boek & Plaat” (the general public could not buy this record, it was for members only!) and after a couple weeks, this record was withdrawn.
The record is in VG+ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines and a couple non-sounding superficial marks on both sides. The labels are in VG+ condition, there are a couple spindle marks and there is some slight wear along the spindle hole on side 2.
The cover is in VG+ condition as well, there is a small name on the front just underneath “THE KINKS”, there is some light ring wear coming through on both front and back and there is a coffee mug stain on the back. Further this cover is in decent shape, no other writing (besides the name on the front), no rips or tears or other damage than mentioned.
Although this record is not in dream Mint condition, this is a MEGA RARE WITHDRAWN HOLLAND BOOK CLUB pressing of The Kinks. In all my 20 years of collecting records, I only have seen this record five times, and I only recently upgraded my own copy (this copy that is on auction was in my collection for about 10 years). Also, this record is in one of the Pokora books and was given a four star rating, meaning that this record is seriously rare. This is a unique opportunity to complete your Kinks collection!
