 THE KINKS 'SOMETHING ELSE BY THE KINKS' 1967 MONO LP.

First press Mono LP, pressed in England and released on Pye Records NPL 18193.

Play grades as EX and better throughout.

There are a few spider lines around the spindle holes and the side 2 label has a small, light stain next to 'THE KINKS' (See photo).

On both sides all musical & vocal passages play clearly & brightly.

There are no sticks, jumps or skips and no evidence of any groove wear at all. 

There are no 'clicks', single or repeating. 

However there is a quiet 'tic' that repeats 5 times between tracks 4 & 5 on side 2. 

Otherwise all the spaces between the tracks are very quiet, as are the run in/out areas.

When tilted under normal lighting side 1 has a light, thin (~1mm. wide) scuff mark that runs across tracks 3-7 at about 11 o'clock, also there is a faint scratch that runs across track 1 at about 10 o'clock and another small scratch (~5mm. long) at the end of track 1 at about 2 o'clock. All of these marks are non-sounding.

Side 2 also has 3 small, non-sounding marks/light scratches. 1. In track 1 at about 5 o'clock is 1cm. long; 2. About 2cm. long in track 2 at about 6 o'clock & 3. is across most of track 6 at about 2 o'clock. 

I can't identify a particular mark that causes the 'tic' mentioned above.

When tilted under halogen lights both sides do have a few more short, light marks visible.

In really good shape. the spine is easily legible, there is a light crease across the front, top right corner, some shelf wear to the bottom edge and there is a small (3mm.) closed tear about 3/4 of the way down on the front edge of the opening (see photos)

Plain white, tracing paper lined, inner sleeve grades as EX-.

Has a small tear off one of the die cut holes, a little creasing and a number hand written in one top corner.

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].
