HERE'S something else for your Kinks' Kollection - a rare copy of 'Something Else By The Kinks' on original UK mono Pye from 1967 - one of the best albums ever made. The beautiful unlaminated flipback 'patents pending' Garrod & Lofthouse single sleeve rarely turns up in decent condition these days (its gorgeous silver grey finish seems to flake away like dust off a butterfly's wing) but here for once is a very well preserved example. This is a good strong sleeve with fine undamaged flipbacks in comfortable VG condition, with full spinal text, no sticker damage, no sticker residue, no unwanted writing and nothing nasty lurking inside the opening edges with just a little creasing here and there, some ringwear, a little edge and cornerwear and a light price indentation. Both textured pink Pye labels are in lovely unblemished EX condition with no writing, rips or sticker damage, and only light signs of use - the lightest, scantiest of spindle marks, in fact only one spindle mark on one side.! Both sides of the disc with earliest A1/B1 matrices look a comfortable VG in normal light with just light surface and sleeve removal/scuff marks to be seen when examined under strong halogen lighting - there are no nasty deep feelable scratches. This is a korking kopy of a klassic album - total genius, including Waterloo Sunset, of course, and even three fab efforts from Dave Davies, which are well up there with his brother's.
