Description

                                                DESCRIPTION

ARTIST:                                 THE KINKS

TITLE:                           “SOMETHING ELSE”

PRESSING:              1968 Original “FIRST” Pressing STERO LP

CATALOG #:           REPRISE RS-6279

LABELS:                   Extremely clean Tri-color “Pink, Gold, and Green” labels with large “Steamboat” in the upper left corner with “REPRISE” in white along the right side of the label.

Comments:                There is a hand-written number “31” adjacent to the black print “Side 1” on the yellow portion of the label (see photograph), otherwise super clean labels!

                                                CONDITION  ( Please refer to Grading Standards below)

COVER:                    VG to VG+

Comments:                Relatively clean textured “pastedown” cover displays sharp, vivid colors with No marks or writing, No creases, No seam splits, and No cut out marks, discount holes or bar codes. Cover flaws include moderate seam wear, especially along the top margin, along with light ring and corner wear (see photographs). Noted flaws are mentioned for accuracy.

VINYL:                      Strong VG++

Comments:                Extremely clean, full original gloss “Thick” vinyl with a few minor rubs and some insignificant faint hairlines (No scratches) seen under bright light from sliding in and out of the original inner sleeve. The vinyl has been play tested and plays very nicely throughout the entire recording with very little background noise, mainly in the quiet passages between tracks.

INNER SLEEVE:    Original and correct late-sixties REPRISE paper inner sleeve advertising other artists and selections from their catalog, which was used during the time period of the release of this classic album.

Comments:                Extremely SCARCE LP to locate with the “Tri-color Steamboat” First Pressing labels. If you have a nice cover and need to upgrade the vinyl, or if you just need a very nice copy to play once in a while, this record is for you! LP features many classic Kinks songs including “David Watts”, “No Return”, “Death of a Clown”, and “Afternoon Tea”!!

I have listed additional pristine First pressing Kinks albums from the “sixties” this week, so please check out my other auctions!

I am very conservative with my grading.  There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for multiple LPs won in the same auction cycle.  Payment is due within 72 hours of the end of the auction.  e-mail if you have any questions prior to placing a bid.  All of my LPs come with a protective poly album sleeve and will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard LP mailer, tightly wrapped in bubble wrap for added protection.

Shipping:  $4.00 Media Mail.  If you purchase multiple LPs in this auction cycle, please wait to make payment until I adjust the eBay invoice to reflect one shipping cost.
