Description

Welcome to Heart of Wax - Vinyl online record shop. I shall endeavour to post up as many exciting records up here that I find. Usually all from private collections which I've sourced. I'm happy to post out records to all you lovely people of the United Kingdom. Generally each record is secondhand and has been played. All have been cleaned and listened to by myself. And if there are any faults or defects, I will provide them in an honest description below.

THE KINKS - PERCY OST

The film in question, Percy, was the story of the world's first penis transplant.

No, seriously. It was.

The real impact (thankfully) came from Ray Davies' soundtrack. Hauntingly beautiful ballads, solid blues and country sing alongs litter this album. Lola in fact is an instrumental on here. Only really 'God's Children' and 'Animals In The Zoo' appear on one or two career anthologies but everything else is hard to track down. Having never appeared in the US catalogue, this was put out on the tail end of their contract with England's Pye records label.

For one of the greatest and quintessentially English bands of all time this is a real find and could fit nicely it anyone's rock obscurities collection

CONDITION

Sleeve - VG - slim card sleeve with a little wear but nothing major

LP - VG+ - really smart, robust record. Has some minor marks that are noticeable but shouldn't give you any nightmares.

POSTAGE

Due to value this record will be posted out FREE

Local collection via my house or my record stall (when available) - FREE

I package each record using the 'cardboard and bubble wrap sandwich method.' Sleeve and LP are kept separate within the postage sleeve. It will arrive to your house looking very tasty but please don't attempt to eat it for your dinner. I only recommend popping it on your record player.

INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE

I have offered European and international postage to people on other records which I sell. However one particular continental customer has sent through some horrible feedback and been rather abusive - so I'd prefer to now only ship to somewhere in the UK from here on in. Shame really that we all can't get along. But that's the modern world for you.

It doesn't mean I won't ship abroad but you'll have to send me a message so I can figure out a postage price and whether or not I'm happy to ship this, or any item out to you. Everyone deserves a second chance.

All the best.
