Description
Up for auction is a nice, original copy of The Kinks album "Face To Face" originally released in the U.S. on Reprise Records (R-6228) in 1966.

-Early 1C/1D etched in deadwax
-Still in opened factory shrink wrap
-Original paste-down cover
-Heavy inflexible vinyl
-No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition:
Cover looks great, still protected by original shrink wrap. No ring wear or seam splits. Front and back are clean, bone white as they should be, no age discoloration to white background. Has some very light rub wear to top and bottom corners at open edge on right. Has some bump wear also to the open edge, but not significant. Has a tiny remainder grommet in upper right corner (see photo). Very well-preserved and attractive original.
Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl is very nice, still has its original glossy shine. Under a strong light, a few very light small marks and hairlines show up--but nothing serious, and certainly nothing that can be felt or that should affect the quality of the playback. No marks around spindle holes, indicating little previous play.
Play-Tested:
I've spot tested this record, and when played in the recommended Mono Mode, the sound quality is excellent, generally clean and clear. Maybe a small amount of pressing noise on the run-in grooves, but once the music kicks in, you don't notice it. This record has maybe been played a couple times, but handled with care. Looks nice, and sounds nice.
Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies.
