Description
This is an auction for a LP by The Kinks, Face To Face.
Released on Pye records in 1966 and has catalogue number NPL 18149. This record is mono. Matrix..NPL 18149 A2...NPL 18149 B1.
Condition: The sleeve comes in reasonable condition, please check the pictures for clarification, fine spine, no edge splits, graded at VG+.
This comes with its original 'patent' inner sleeve which has discolouring
Both labels come in fine condition, side one has a few spindle trails, played three or four times perhaps, side two has a couple more. Clean crisp labels, the centre-hole shows a mere touch of buffing to the inner ring on side one at 8 o'clock, being fussy, the centre-hole is close to new.
The vinyl retains its shine on side one, side two has inner sleeve marks, meaning that the inner sleeve is plastic lined so when compressed for a period of time, perhaps years, it leaves the residue on the vinyl, this can be cleaned and would come up very nicely if put through a cleaner. When tilted to the light a few light/feather scratches can be seen. The audio on side one is fine and plays with little lessening in sound quality. Side two has surface noise caused by the sleeve residue. Due to this reason I can only grade this at VG, obviously I would expect the audio and grade to improve once cleaned.
No doubt this listing and the Live At kelvin Hall LP on my Ebay now would be graded at EX by many traders but I can't be sure on the quality of audio until cleaned hence a cautious grade is always applied to my listings
