Many thanks for your interest in my records! I've collected records for over 30 years and as such sometimes take stock and realise how many duplicates I have accrued, and how many records I no longer listen to. The records I'm listing today are generally of lesser rarity, but are in really nice condition, I grade using the RRPG Record Collector grading system, though feel that I grade down if anything, please check my feedback for proof of this! I have sold many records (some incredibly rare ones in the 4 figures) over the years, so please rest assured that my gradings have been satisfactory so far! Though, If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me before leaving negative feedback. I haven't had negative feedback so far, and don't intend to start now if I can at all help it!
I'll combine records for the same price for up to 3 disks (double LPs count as 2!), and at as reduced a rate as I can beyond that! International bidders please ask, as I'll send them as cheaply as possible for you,but they must be sent tracked and insured.

THE KINKS Debut album really did represent asign of things to come,as the touch-paper hadbeen lit by THE BEATLES, a whole sub-section of youths across the UK (and the world) saw that it was possible to gain a record deal and fame and fortune by what most of themhad thought tojust be a hobby band up until then! And record companies started searching in earnest for their own youth group. None of the early signings were more raucous and unbridalled than THE KINKS with Dave Davies' fuzz distorted guitar, and Ray Davies' extremely inventive lyrics, they were set for great things. However it didn't always look that way, their three single deal was almost up, their version of LONG TALL SALLY didn'tcut it with prospective record buying youths in great enough numbers,and their self penned YOU STILL WANT ME fared still worse, if anything they seemed tobe trying toemulate someone elses sound rather than creating their own... oh,then they released YOU REALLY GOT ME!

After that they got a better deal! They quicky recorded an album, leaning on their white-boy frenetic and fuzztoned takes on American Rhythm and Blues tracks,and also exploring Ray Davies'burgeoning talent as a songwriter, this LP also included their hit YOU REALLY GOT ME of course!

In the UK this record was only released in MONO, as in 1964 the vast majority of players were MONO,and so the PYE record company didn't see any point in releasing a special STEREO for the few people who might be able to appreciate itin the UK. That said very oddly they did still press a very few limited copies in their UK factory, though notfor release in the UK,but for EXPORT RELEASE ONLY! I don't know what the logic was behind this, but a very limited run of these STEREO records were shipped overseas for sale as UK STEREO EXPORT copies,and this copy that Imake available to you is one of those very elusive beasts!

RECORD CONDITION: VG- This record has a generally strong lustre when angled into strong direct light, but it has definitely been played,and has a general dusting of light surface marks/hairlines to prove it! A couple of marks are slightly more visible than the others,and there is one that is ever so slightly feelable when you run your fingernail gently over it, however short of a few light pops, and general background noise in the queiter moments, there is nothing to get in the way of the audio, absolutely free of skips or sticks.

LABEL CONDITIONS: VG+ Completely free from graffitti/stains/tears/discolouration etc these labels are clean and crisp,with only a bit of spindle trailing around the central spindle holes to detract,and absolutely no water fade etc. that 60s Pye records are prone to!

SLEEVE CONDITION: VG A nice strong UK 60s flipback front-laminated sleeve, stickered front and back to denote it's STEREO credentials, completely graffitti/tear free, slight handling wear in a few small folds and crescents in the front laminate, and some yellowing to the non-laminated back sleeve, also slight adhesive stains of the original record shop label (still included though detatched).  Lovely to see both the front "STEREO" and the back "NSPL 83021 STEREOPHONIC" stickers still attached and looking great! The spine is still fully legible,and there are absolutely no wear-throughs along the edges,all flip-backs remain glued firmly,and the opening mouth edges, whilst a little yellowed fromcareful handling, don't so much as have anick in them! The vibrant shades of red across the front still remain vivid and strong,with zero laminate lift!
