THE KINKS - Arthur Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire (UK, Pye NPL 18317, 1969) Original mono pressing with a fragile laminated gatefold sleeve.
Condition:
Sleeve: Rather tatty unfortunately. The spine in particular is torn/ damaged with tape residue marks. There is a fold in the bottom right front gatefold and several smaller creases, mostly around the edges. The edges of the thin front gatefold are frayed with some small tears. The insert has creasing at the "pull" tag but the rest is fine. Please look at the photos, I've tried to detail the worst.
Disc: EX+ visually but there are several tiny bumps/ dots in the pressing which cause "pops". I've heard one other original pressing of this album (also mono) and it also had some of these pressing flaws so maybe it was common to part of the pressing. On this disc I heard one tick on A6, several on B1 caused by two bumps, a few ones on B2 & B5 and several on B6. These marks are tiny so they don't sound for long. At least the rest plays very nicely.
