TIRED OF WAITING FOR YOU
Here's a real blast from the past of Austin Texas radio. This single was the actual air copy played by the likes of Doug Boyd, Ben Laurie and Frank Jolle on KNOW-AM. It was January of 1965, and the Djs were surely interested to see what sort of new sound this new group, The Kinks, had come up with.
This was the band's second single for Reprise and it had "Tired Of Waiting For You" paired with "Come On." Both would wind up on their next album 'Kinks Size.'
The record did very well, hitting #6 in the US, even higher on the charts than their debut "All Day And All Of The Night."
It's worth noting that this promo is on VINYL, not the styrene that was used for stock copies of the record. It's a much better pressing than was sold to fans.
