Description
THE JORDANAIRES' "Beautiful City" Released on RCA RECORDS (LPM 3081) in 1953 as a 10" EP with 8 songs. This was the Gospel Quartet's 1st recording and featured Gordon Stoker as the 5th member. They later backed Elvis Presley as well as other pop and country acts. This is a Deep Groove pressing. QUITE RARE in this condition!
Visually & Play-Graded, the EP is in NEAR MINT MINUS condition appears to have been played rarely judging by the few visible spindle marks on the labels, with No scratches or Marks on the clean vinyl. On playing, there are no skips, loud pops (only an occasional light one), and Next-To-No background noise, with the music loud and clear, with No static, EXCEPT (the Minus) for the Song 1/ Side 2 "Dry Bones" which starts out with a little heavier background noise but quiets by the end of the track. I believe someone must have played that song a few extra times. In general, Outstanding listening!
The Cover is in VERY GOOD to VERY GOOD PLUS condition with Light Wear to the Black Front and liner note back, Corners are Sharp with very light wear, while the Seams are Intact and Clean EXCEPT for a 6" piece of transparent tape on the top to the opening and a 3" piece of tape on the bottom seam at the opening. The title seam is clean.
