THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE

Original 100% authentic 1st Stereo pressing of the debut album of The Jimi Hendrix Experience released on Reprise Records' Tri-Colour "Steamboat" label after the band appeared at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967. 1st Stereo release heavy weight issue, approximately 280g. The original 1st print cardboard cover with an infra-red fish-eye photo taken by a British photographer and designer Karl Ferris, with purple psychedelic text on the yellow-green background, still factory sealed in its original vintage loose-fitting protective baggy. The fully intact baggy has only a very small seam split at the bottom left and a tiny tear at the top right of the back cover. The baggy doesn't contain any splits or tears at the mouth. The original front cover contains the "Printed in U.S.A." text at the bottom left corner, "Stereo" banner at the top center, and "Are You Experienced" title without a question mark. The top edge and spine contain the "Are You Experienced?" title with a question mark. The cover is in great shape, only having a very light barely noticeable bumping on the bottom right and top left corners. This copy comes from a private collection with an absolute guarantee of an authentic very early 1st press with the 1st Tri-Colour (Green, Pink, Yellow) "Steamboat" label variation, whose design was used until the late 60s. This copy was purchased by the collector at a record store in West Hollywood in the late 1968. This copy should contain a Reprise Records printed inner sleeve with adverts for other Reprise Records releases. It's impossible to find a similar still factory sealed copy of the very early 1st pressing.

We accept PayPal only to receive payments. Before placing a bid, please make sure that you'll be able to make the payment within 3 business days. I always try responding to the messages, but please, before sending me a message, make sure that the answer to your question isn't included in the description. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other.
