THE JADES
I’M ALL RIGHT

There were two different bands called the Jades working the Dallas – Ft.Worth area in the 1960s. One was the Jack Calmes led outfit which started up around 1962 and had a knack for knocking out all the frat boy favorites. They cut a pair of Lps and were quite active around Dallas.

Then there was the other Jades, who had to start calling themselves The Jades of Ft. Worth. Led by Gary Carptenter, (who had the truest Jagger/Van Morrison sneer 'n' snarl you could ask for), they cut a pair of singles for the Ector/ Emcee Records label in 1966.

Their songs "I'm All Right," and "Little Girl" are among the hottest garage records of the era in these-here parts. This is NOT one of those reproductions, it’s an original pulled right out of a record box filled with Beach Boys, Music Machine, Kenny & The Kasuals, and Outsiders 45s.
