Another gem from my personal collection which has been stored carefully in a smoke home
Record labels and index: Liberty LBF.15054
Matrix number stampers: LBF 15054 A 1 and LBF 15054 B1
Side two track: Knocking nails into my house
On now to the condition of this record:
Labels: As you can see from the scans with this listing both labels are in super clean condition with no defacing marks. Safely graded as Excellent+ or even better
Playing surfaces: Both sides are incredibly clean with nothing more than a few mega light wispy marks on side one and just one fine light hairline mark on side two. Easily graded as Excellent
Play grade: Both sides of the single play with really nice audio and no obvious loss of sound quality at all. Very impressive indeed for a forty-six year old single and play graded as Excellent+
Company sleeve: The black and blue company sleeve is fully intact with signs of some age creasing and wear. Nothing too bad as you can see from the scans and certainly nice to have. The sleeve is graded as Very Good

So here we have a very rare and collectable single by The Idle Race. This little gem of a single was released in 1968 on the Liberty record label and the record on offer here is an incredibly rare first pressing. The Idle Race were fronted by Jeff Lynne who went on to super stardom with The Electric Light Orchestra. He wrote both sides of this single. Original singles by the band are much sought after and even more so when they are first pressings and in such decent condition.Note also that this single has the rarest three prong centre
