HOLY GRAIL #6 of 10 - RAREST OF RARE + Misprint 7"
OKAY, Listen up! Everyone who has been following this band knows that this is the band's debut release--a one time only ] pressing of 500 hand-numbered copies NEVER re-issued. Originally released on Empirical Recordings back in 2004. It came out BEFORE the band's debut full-length album, right? Right! It featured two exclusive songs, not included on the debut album: the band's original, MILK CRATE MOSH b/w a cover of Led Zeppelin's never released on album, b-side of single only, HEY HEY WHAT CAN I DO? Pressing was configured thusly: 250 on black vinyl, 200 on blue and 50 on "junk" (mix colored vinyl). That was the entire pressing….EXCEPT there were two sub-sets of WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSINGS and this is #6 of 10 for BOTH subsets combined. That's right, this has the straight up, approved single AND the second subset which has MILK CRATE MOSH on the A-Side but some 4-to-5 song hardcore punk band that isn't THS on the B-side INSTEAD OF the proper Led Zeppelin cover as performed/covered by the Hold Steady (and the hardcore band's pretty good, but can't tell you who the hell they are, just that they don't belong there). These were misprinted mistakes made by the passing plant and what they had initially presented to me for approval.So you're getting two very, very, very rare Hold Steady artifacts. Dare I say, these are without dispute THE RAREST OF RARE Hold Steady records in existence. I know this for fact as I am the person who released this record.
Each Pic Sleeve insert is pictured in this auction and each is numbered. Plain white label. Matrix etchings same as the main pressing. GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC and provided you take care of them GUARANTEED TO INCREASE IN VALUE.
