120 Full Length 12" Dance Tracks

This has to be the best compilation of rare and classic house music ever assembled on vinyl. I have had this box set since around 1990, and it's the most expensive new record I ever bought. HMV were flogging this German import for £125 and I bought it. Very expensive for the time, but it is pressed on high-quality West German/BCM vinyl and is beautifully presented. I only ever played Record 1 and then only once, and the other eleven LPs remain unplayed to this day nearly 20 years on!!!  So eleven albums in this box set are in unplayed MINT condition, and the other one certainly looks mint. The albums are housed in matching green sleeves with 'The House Sound Of Chicago' logo (see photo) except one which is in a plain sleeve. The sleeves are in perfect condition. There's also an informative LP-size 20-page booklet telling the history of Chicago house and featuring rare photos. The booklet is mint. The box itself is not perfect but overall I'd say it is VG++ if not excellent. There's a bit of fraying at the top and bottom edge of the back spine. There's also a couple of light stains on the box, but nothing serious, and overall the box is fine and good to look at with no seam splits or other major defects. This limited edition 12LP box from BCM rarely comes up for sale nowadays, especially with the vinyl etc in mint condition!!! It really is the ultimate collection of Chicago house available on vinyl and a great collector's item. Many of the tunes on this set were only released on local independent labels and the originals are virtually impossible to get hold of.
