You are bidding on The Gun Club's FIRE OF LOVE, album. 12" vinyl album, on RUBY RECORDS, RELEASED IN 1981. This pressing is from the original run. Etched on the side one run-off area is 'JRR-102-A', 'PB' and 'L6516'. On side two, 'JRR-102- B', 'PB' and 'L6516X'. Vinyl is in excellent condition, as is the cover, which is made from the heavy old-style brownish cardboard.
Robert Christgau's 1981 review --- Fire of Love [Ruby, 1981] Mix slide guitar with loose talk about sex, death, and, er, Negroes, and pass yourselves off as the Rolling Stones of the nuevo wavo. Wish I could claim absence of merit, but in fact it has its tunelessly hooky allure. No matter how seriously Jeffrey Lee Pierce pretends not to take it, though, I'll take it less seriously than that--and more. A+
