This MONO album was released on the COLUMBIA label (UK) in 1968 with reference number SX 6286

This record is a FIRST PRESSING with the GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD. text on the label rim.

We always strictly grade our records using the Record Collector Standard (Side A graded first))

DISC: The disc is bright, clean and glossy.  To the naked eye there are a number of light visible marks to the playing area.

I have played both sides of this disc and consider it to be a super example of a great album - it plays without fault and remains quiet between the tracks. 

COVER:  The cover is laminated to the front only.  There are a number of creases and folds to the laminate however it remains complete without any tears.

The non-laminated rear cover is extremely discoloured that is visible in the photographs.

The spine has a number of creases however, the printed detail (in black) is completely visible and easy to read.

I grade the cover as G.

This record is supplied with an original COLUMBIA paper inner sleeve.

'THE GODS' were an English psychedelic rock band that formed during 1968, 'GENESIS' was their debut album.

The band on this album comprise of:

Ken Hensley (who performed later with Uriah Heep) - Guitar, Percussion, Keyboards, Vocals

John Glascock (who performed later with Jethro Tull) - Bass Guitar, Vocals

Lee Kerslake (who performed later with Uriah Heep and Ozzy Osbourne) - Drums

Joe Konas - Guitar, Vocals

M - Mint - In perfect/As new condition

EX - Excellent - Sleeve and vinyl is used and shows only very minor (if any) signs of wear.

VG - Very Good  - Sleeve will have obvious signs of wear/damage. Vinyl will have obvious signs of wear but will play with no major faults (although there may be some surface noise).

G - Good - Sleeve will have significant wear/damage. Vinyl will have a fair amount of surface damage however it will play with no sticks or jumps but will have significant surface noise

F - Fair - Sleeve will be badly damaged. Vinyl will have significant damage and may play with surface noise and may jump/stick etc.

+ & - may be used if an item is between standard gradings.
