Description
This is an ultra-rare LP.
It's on the US Monitor label and is entitled 'Peak Impressions' by The Freeborne. It was only released in the USA as far as I know and the year of release was 1967. The music is very interesting with acid, psych and jazz influences throughout as well as some hard hitting rock music. The band were from Boston. There are some excellent tracks.
It's a stereo recording and the catalogue number is MPS(C) 607. It is a very rare record and this one is in fine condition with some minor blemishes.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve is a US type with the rear pasted on to the flips. It shows minor wear. Both front and rear are in fine condition. The edges and the spine are in fine condition with minor wear and the wording along the spine is 100% readable. In view of this I've graded the sleeve as Ex--.
INNER BAG - Plain white paper type.
RECORD - The record looks clean and appears to have hardly been played. There are some very superficial marks on either side which do not affect the quality. It plays very well on both sides with some minor surface noise and a few pops and clicks on either side. These blemishes do not detract from the overall quality of record. There are definitely no jumps on any of the tracks on either side.
LABELS - The labels are the standard Monitor type with a white background and red wording. The labels are in fine condition with very few spindle marks visible. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - MTS-607A-1A C - side two - MTS-607B-1A C. I've graded the record as Ex-- which I believe is very fair.
I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. You just won't find this record again in such a fine condition.
