The Free Design is an astonishingly talented late 60's early 70's vocal group.The band's third album "Heaven / Earth" is also one of their best. Full of wonderful arrangements and compositions by group leader Chris Dedrick this is a masterpiece getting more and more attention these days. There is also a cover version of Tim Hardin's "If I Were A Carpenter", a very cool version of "Summertime" with a tempo change in the middle + some excellent bass playing by Jazz-musican Richard Davis (who also played on Van Morrison's "Astral Weeks") and a version of "Where Do I Go" from the musical "Hair".
A must-have for all fans and collectors of breezy 60's popsike and soft-rock sound. Vinyl Condition: The record is still sealed. I won't open the shrink for grading but i guess the vinyl is still as good as it was when it left the pressing plant in '69. Cover Condition: Gatefold cover. Still sealed. Corners slightly worn. The sealing foil has two tears.
