Description
1968 produced some amaizing records probably due to the fact beat bands from the early sixties had been together for several years and by now had become dedicated musicians twined with advances in recording technology . New formed bands were easily influenced and creating exciting music from the off set . HEY MR CARPENTER by THE FOX was a completley original sound and probably to way out for the general music public . Their use of the sitar as a repetative riff all the way through the track made this a hypnotising sound and once played you couldn,t stop listeng to it,i know I did . So to the B side SEEK AND YOU FIND . Completley different to the A side and a fantastic example of the way music was heading towards rock . In my opinion this was a pioneer rock track (these are all my own words by the way not copied from a book as seems the genere at the moment)
As for the record itself simple its MINT It can only have been played a few times , I recorded it so as to not ruin such a good copy . Both label and vinyl are a stunning example and you will find it hard to find a better copy (aaargh ive said that terrible word everyone seems to use at the moment STUNNING ) but honestly it really is .Massive on the MOD scene and always sought after get your copy NOW.
