The Fourmost - 'I'm In Love / Respectable'. R 5078

The Fourmost 1963 UK DEMO pressing of 'I'm In Love / Respectable' 7" single. Released on the 15th November 1963, the a-side was an early song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. No official issue of The Beatles performing this track exist although they did perform it live. It is offered here in wonderful EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.

These initial early demonstration pressings would have been given out to important reviewers and radio stations prior to the release date. Both labels state: 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE'. The release date of '15/11/63' is handwritten to the a-side. The vinyl is housed within the original Parlophone Records sleeve which is also in wonderful EXCELLENT condition.

This particular copy was originally owned by ATV Music Publishing. ATV were a major player in 1960's British music who went on to buy Lennon and McCartney's 'Northern Songs' publishing company owning almost all of The Beatles back catalogue. The company was famously sold to Michael Jackson in 1985 very much to Paul McCartney's annoyance.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. 7XCE 17543-1N JR KT (no mother numbers)

Side 2. 7XCE-17544-1N JR KT (no mother numbers)

The vinyl is in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Release date hand written to the a-side.

The original sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
