The Floating Opera were a psych/prog group from Ann Arbor, MI., in the early 1970's
A self contained group [4 guys and 1 girl] common to this period. Though at times very loud and vocally histrionic the album flows as an uninterrupted suite. Everyone contributes, and as these things go Floating Opera isn't a bad record. They do a nice job with the ballads, and the album is cleanly produced. Fans of this style group/music will almost certainly like Floating Opera. The album is packaged in a nice looking gatefold cover with the lyrics inside, and the group's picture on the front.

Original 1971 1st pressing on Embryo Records. Not a re-issue, No barcode. This LP is STILL SEALED in it's original shrinkwrap. This is the original "die-cut" gatefold cover. There are no cut-outs or punch holes. A small piece of the shrink is missing in the upper right corner, probably from a "price sticker" removal. The corners are sharp, except for the upper right, which has a light bump and also a crease (mostly visible from back, only) in the cover. The shrink is tight and there is no wear. A great looking record. LP is in nearly MINT condition.
