"THE FIRST SEE + HEAR" - "see / hear #1 recordmagazine" - (Private/Contemporary Sound Arts st55852; Stereo; 1968; **Canada issue/pressing). RARE. (**Click on the pictures above for more info - *Double click for larger image**).
**This is an original (not a reissue) NM vinyl (looks unplayed), Canadian issue/pressing, copy of this private psych freakout avant, electronic, concrete poetry, electroacoustics LP from Vancouver, BC.
**This LP is an excellent document of the experimental art scene in Vancouver, BC in the late 1960's. A number of these artists were published by bill bissett's blewointment press.
**NOTE: From the liners: "SEE/HEAR is a RECORD MAGAZINE ..... a publication of Contemporary Sound Arts ..... electronic music, experimental acoustic music, sound poetry, projective verse, chance music, improvised forms ..... continually evolving ..... Mixed media, combinations of sound and visual arts ..... or combinations of different modes of sound art, are easily seen as results of our electric environment ..... Publication channels for traditional forms of writing and music are already available ..... however new forms of music and modes of writing which are primarily concerned was sound has not been accomplished. Sound ..... is already established as a 20th century art form but has not been adequately presented ..... Since we are living in an electrical-technical world notes on the compositions, scores or texts are often necessary compliments to a full perception ..... Complementary visuals cause both the eye and ear to receive the art form ..... we want to keep SEE/HEAR essentially open without restriction ..... a reflection of contemporary sound environments".

Picture 7) 8-1/2"x11" 2-page lyrics to Lionel Kearns' "Transport" piece. Picture 8) 10"x14" folded 3-pages on photo-like paper for Lloyd Burritt's "The Hollow Men" piece. Picture 9) 7" x 9" picture of a painting by S. Cruickshank for Al Neil Trio's "Lombardo" piece. Picture 10) 10"x14" folded 4-bright pink pages showing the electronic patterns in Wayne Carr's "Timbral Changes" piece. Pictures 11 + 12) 2-pages of info documenting each artist and their piece. **NOTE: All inserts are NM.
