Hi there.
I'm the author of the forthcoming biography "Popkiss: The Life and Afterlife of Sarah Records" (to be published by Bloomsbury in November). Due to the expense of travelling to the book's launch events in London — and, if time and finances and public interest allow, in New York and Los Angeles — some Sarah artists have generously donated records from their personal collections to help cover costs. This is one of three current auctions; see my seller profile for the other two.
This is a test pressing of the Field Mice's 1990 10-inch EP "So Said Kay." It is singer-songwriter Bobby Wratten's personal copy, and he has autographed it especially for this auction. It comes with the original white inner sleeve. (It doesn't include the outer picture sleeve, as test pressings typically don't include them.)
The vinyl has some light marks that are only visible under direct light. It was somewhat dusty when I received it (Bobby says it was stored in his garage for many years) but it sounds very good now that I've cleaned it, with virtually no surface noise and no pops or crackles when I tested it. A professional wet cleaning would likely restore it to near-mint playability. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the record.
