Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. - Original ... and long sold out/highly scarce limited album came out quite awhile ago, remaining essential UK MOD FREAK-BEAT explosives from the sixties ---
- definitely inspired THE WHO...
- This limited edition album confirms that the Eyes were among the greatest cult mod bands of their time, with a coiled power that recalls the Who at their peak. This, of course, is most apparent on "My Degeneration," a sly dig at the Who that functions as both satire and homage, but their first three singles all had the taut, stylish energy of the Who circa 1965, and the parallels come into even sharper relief with their cover of the Everly Brothers' "Man with Money" which is a dead-ringer for the Who's unreleased version from 1966; in fact, it could reasonably be argued that the Eyes have a tighter, harder take than the Who.
The EYES capture the frenzied energy of the Stones' "Route 66" and doing a version of "Satisfaction" that pumps up the fuzztoned guitar even louder the original!
The Eyes' true peak were their four singles, particularly their debut "When the Night Falls"/"I'm Rowed Out," two barbed pieces of mod proto-punk that remain as punchy and potent today as when they were first recorded. This now very scarce album all makes for highly enjoyable listening.
