THE EXCITERS – Caviar and Chitlins (1969) RCA-4211 – M-/M- (cover/vinyl)

Here’s a super rare funk and northern soul album by this male / female group produced by P. Robinson and arranged by George Patterson. For the most part, RCA didn’t issue a lot of funk or soul as compared to some of the other labels, and this is one that is super obscure. Tracks include “Blowing Up My Mind,” “Sive It All,” “Fight That Feelin’,” “Always,” “You Don’t Know What You’re Missing,” “I Don’t Have to Worry,” “You Got Me,” “Movin’ Too Slow,” “If I Could See Into Tomorrow,” “A Year Ago,” and “Turn Me On.”

This is a really nice copy. It was sealed, and I’m the one who opened it. It doesn’t have any cut outs, but there is a small piece of clear tape on the shrink wrap on the top corner and “1969” written in black marker on the shrink wrap on the front cover – NOT on the cover. You could take the shrink wrap off and it would be tight and clean. I’m going to leave it on for you to remove if you’d like. The thick vinyl original orange label vinyl is in beautiful condition. I grade this conservatively: M-/M- (cover/vinyl).
