THE ELECTRIC PRUNES - MASS IN F MINOR
A lovely condition and sparingly played copy of this 1967 psych gem with the truly excellent sound quality being a real standout
Year/Label : 1967 REPRISE UK Label number : RLP 6275 Matrix numbers : RLP 6275 A-1 △T, RLP 6275 B-1 △TExcellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - flat, weighty and retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in normal daylight comes across as unmarked - a real gleamer. Gorgeous vinyl and it is only with very close inspection under a bright light that it is just possible to detect a couple of very small and extremely light scuff marks - nothing really, and purely superficial. Amazing to find a 1st press copy of this 58 year old LP in such wonderful and little played condition as this. The labels are again excellent plus (EX+) - near perfect and completely unmarked with the exception of a few (3 or 4) very small and barely detectable extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the cenre hole on each label. Clearly, this is a record that has been played only very sparingly. A very good plus (VG+) condition Garrod & Lofthouse front-side laminated outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges including a rigid spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact. There are a number (I counted eleven) of 1-2cm surface laminate creases/crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the front and top edges and spine, some minor laminate surface creasing towards the front side top edge, a tiny scuff "nick" on the front side at the top left corner, the merest hint of some faint ring wear towards the front side opening edge and just a few minor handling/storage small light marks on the reverse side. The reverse side flipbacks remain in excellent shape, the opening edges remain firm with no fraying, the corners remain near perfectly defined right anles with virtually no rubbing, and the colours, art work, photos, and text all remain vibrant and with great definition still. Excellent plus (EX+) MONO sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, clicks or background crackle and great tone and clarity throughout. Experimental 60's psych at it's very best! Comes with original "reprise records" inner sleeve which has a mild crease in one corner and a 12cm split in one of the side edges. Note that I always place the vinyl into a new poly-lined plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original during shipping.
Rare, sought after and so hard to get hold of these 1st pressings now, especially with such great condition vinyl as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
