RARE ARCO PRIVATE NEW ENGLAND GARAGE 45 PRE-TANGERINE ZOO
a little bit of history: Arco Records was a vanity recording studio based in New Bedford MA that pressed a wide variety of records for mainly the New Bedford-Fall River MA area & many of their records are extremely desirable to garage/psych collectors....Before the Fall River band,Tangerine Zoo recorded two psych LPs for Mainstream in the late 60s, they were previously known as the Ebb Tides & their sound was more garage-like befitting the mid-60s.
This is one of the rarer Arcos & a great garage record.
I usually trust the marketplace & start low but I'm not taking a chance of under-selling it, so I'm starting higher than usual but still leaving bidders room to acquire this record...
a few light hairline scratches & a discoloration spot on a-side--full lustre, plays nice w/o backgd noise, pops or crackle. b-side is visually better but slight backgd noise for a few seconds in intro, slight label discoloration (see scan) otherwise nice. very decent fidelity.
