It's 2 Easy sounds much more hip than debut Easy and The Easybeats managed to catch some musical spirit of the time and to put it into their songs on this album. The album starts with rhythm and blues “Let Me Be” and moody “You Are the Light” that are made somewhat in the style of The Rolling Stones but many songs here are fashioned after the newfangled and going trendy Merseybeat. “If you would wait for my return, wait till I come home ‘cause you know I’m so sad and lonely and blue, if dreams really do come true then I’ll be there with you ‘cause you know I’m so sad and lonely and blue”. Simple songs filled with simple emotions were most effective at the time.
