Hotel California is the fifth studio album by the American rock band the Eagles, released on December 8, 1976. It is the first Eagles album without the appearance of founding member Bernie Leadon and the first album with Joe Walsh.
The album yielded three Top 20 singles, "New Kid in Town", "Hotel California", and "Life in the Fast Lane". "New Kid in Town" and "Hotel California" both topped the Billboard Hot 100, and "Life in the Fast Lane" reached number 11 on the charts. The album was ranked number 37 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
While the band were recording the album, Black Sabbath were also recording the album Technical Ecstasy in an adjacent studio at Criteria Studios in Miami. The band were forced to stop recording on numerous occasions because Black Sabbath were too loud and the sound was coming through the wall.

Hairline marks. It is almost impossible to find any non-sealed record without any hairline marks - many had them from new, particularly if sold with cardboard inner sleeves. They are a result of storage and use and have little impact on sound quality.
The following is the scale I use to grade my records and is to be used in conjunction with the "Hi Res" photos contained in each listing , please buy with confidence.
MINT:
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks
or deterioration in sound quality.
The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.
Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be mint.
EXCELLENT:
The record shows some signs of having been played,
but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
The vinyl may have some minor hairline surface scuffs which may be visible.
The cover and packaging might have minor wear.
VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times,
but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,
despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,
is acceptable.
GOOD:
The record has been played so much
that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated.
perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover suffers from folding, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
