Description

Hi! You're looking at a great condition vinyl LP which is a FIRST PRESSING of a classic 1968 album on the Elektra Records label by the rock band THE DOORS titled "Waiting for the Sun"--the album features JIM MORRISON on vocals, RAY MANZAREK on organ and piano, ROBBY KRIEGER on guitar and JOHN DENSMORE on drums and includes the classic songs "Hello, I Love You," "Love Street," "Spanish Caravan," "The Unknown Soldier," and others. The LP was issued on the Elektra Records label with the serial number EKS-74024, is a STEREO issue and a 1968 issue and was made in the United States.
This LP is in great overall condition and the vinyl is in VG overall condition with several light scratches and a few hairline marks, some moderate scuffs and a number of light paper scuffs that produce light background noise during a few quieter passages, some light pops during "The Unknown Soldier" final track on side one, and some very light scattered tics and pops in a few spots--THIS LP HAS BEEN SOUND-GRADED IN ITS ENTIRETY and plays MUCH better than it looks and has OUTSTANDING sound that is never obscured by the minor imperfections; the gatefold unipak cover is in VG++ condition with excellent surfaces, some light abrasions on the spine edge and in a few spots on the right edge of the front cover, a few light scuffs and light shelfwear but no other significant imperfections--it's NOT a cutout!  The ORIGINAL and RARE ELEKTRA RECORDS INNER SLEEVE is also included and in excellent shape, with small center splits on the edges and a small tear and crease on one of the upper corners.

Please Note:  I CAN ship records outside of the United States but will need to get a weight estimate based on the final PACKAGED weight for this record--I cannot ship for the $4.00 U.S. Media Rate and the quoted International Shipping Rate may differ from the final shipping rate due to packaged weight differences so please wait to make payment until a final invoice is received. Thanks!
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)

Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.

Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.

Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.

Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches.  Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.

Very Good Minus (VG-)  A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.

Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.

Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP!
