Description

Super rare original MONO gold label pressing of this classic Doors release. By 1968 most record companies had phases out mono pressings as stereo had become the industry standard. They produced minuscule numbers of these original monos. Many collectors seek these out for the different mono mix and listening experience. You rarely see these.

This is a very pleasing and clean copy. The original unipak fold open cover has only slight wear and some flaking on both sides of the spine and one tiny black marker line about 3/4 of an inch long (see photos). It also has a sticker with the different mono catalogue number on the front. The gold label vinyl is really clean and glossy with some slight line scuffs only. These are faint and few - nothing you can feel with your fingernail. It plays loud and very clean - super pleasing EX sound quality with only the very slighted of surface noise noted only for accuracy. It is a solid VG++
