1967 1st UK MONO pressing
on the red ELEKTRA Label
EKL 4014
This is the very rare original 1967 orange/red ELEKTRA Label UK 1st MONO issue LP of "Strange Days".
It comes in a laminated 1st pressing non-gatefold sleeve and is complete with its original photo/lyric inner sleeve - which is almost impossible to find.
Cover: The original mono cover is excellent for its age. The only flaw is a wafer thin scratch on the rear.
Inner lyric/photo sleeve: Excellent++. No rips/tears/writings or doodles. Never seen one as good as this.
Vinyl: Excellent+. One of the best I have seen in many years. The grading is based on a visual inspection - regrettably I do not have time to play all the records I list. There is light feathering in places and one faint hairline on track 5 (side 2) and tracks 5 & 6 (side 1). As regards noise/distortion - it will not be mint but will be one of the best ones available given its rarity.
Labels: Orange textured labels are very good. 1st Pressing A & B matrices.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
