Description
THE DOORS SELF-TITLED 1967 ELEKTRA EKL-4007 MONO SEALED GOLD RECORD AWARD SEAL
Most likely, this sealed Mono copy of the debut The Doors album is a very early Mono repressing on the Gold / Tan Elektra Records label, featuring the "(Weill-Brecht, Harms Co. ASCAP)" publishing credit on Side 1 label below Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar). The probability is pretty low, but there's still a chance that this copy might be the 1st pressing with the "(Witmark ASCAP)" credits. This probability is based on the fact that Elektra Records always manipulated the covers, placing Mono copies inside Stereo cover. Therefore, this Mono cover, which has the RIAA Gold Record Award seal printed on the front, might contain a very early 1st press copy inside. In any way, finding a sealed Mono copy is incredibly hard, therefore, please use this opportunity, especially considering that the album has been listed without a reserve price.
