I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Well every Doors LP is amazing in it's own way. This would be a return to a more blues based sound, after The Soft Parade didn't get the best reviews at the time. Things were coming apart for Jim between his legal problems, and his drug problems. They had a full concert tour cancelled, as well as having their music blackballed from radio play. This LP has Roadhouse Blues and Peace Frog on it, 2 songs that would get a lot of radio play for years on... It might be my favorite Doors LP because the other songs have not been played out on radio for years, and are solid great songs.
This LP is the first RED LABEL pressing #EKS-75007 - A and B indicating early press runs. This LP is in outstanding beautiful NEAR MINT CONDITION. It's got it's original sheen, and plays perfectly. Side 2's label does show some spindle marks, so it was played, but obviously very well taken care of. This comes with the original Electra Inner. It is the first press GATEFOLD COVER. While the cover, front and back look beautiful mint like, the seams show signs of some wear. They are not split, but definitely rubbed... A beauty of a copy that's 48 years old.
I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.
