No scratches. Labels are in excellent condition with no spindle marks. Record plays flat with no warps. Play grade:Mint-   The entire album sounded great and played extremely well. No hiss, clicks or skips. Condition of record cover:VG+   There are a couple small corner bumps, 2 small (less than one half inch) marks at the center front of the cover, a promo sticker, song listing sticker, and another sticker on the number "13". There are no cuts, holes, writing or seam splits. Original inner sleeve has no edge splits.   Songs:light my fire - touch me - hello, i love you - people are strange - love me two times - the unknown soldier - back door man - moonlight drive - roadhouse blues - crystal ship - you're lost, little girl - wild child - land ho!  Notes:From Bruce Eder at allmusic:  "The success and continued popularity of 13 over the years was a perfect illustration of the way in which the Doors (and their record label) successfully manipulated the group's image in two distinctly different directions. 13 presented the Doors' most accessible, AM radio-friendly music, even bypassing their rather daring debut single, "Break On Through," in favor of the much more popular "Light My Fire" — anyone hearing this stuff would perceive the band as an edgy pop/rock outfit with the most intensely brooding vocals this side of Elvis Presley and lots of great tunes and better playing. The reality was a lot more complicated — the Doors were a challenging, often disturbing, and very serious musical entity, and a big chunk of their work, especially in concert (which was arguably what they were really about), was much more R-rated than the material on 13 would lead you to expect, trading in fierce sexual imagery, sophisticated philosophical ideas, and coarse, even ribald sensibilities worthy of the best bluesmen, all wrapped around a unique blend of poetry and blues, R&B, and jazz-inspired rock. Indeed, one begins to fully appreciate, listening to what almost amounts to the "Doors-lite" sensibilities of this collection, just how much of the group's success, commercial and artistic, was predicated on this split, with a certain percentage of those millions of listeners of the singles making the leap, crossing over to the more serious side of their work and taking in those albums as well as the concerts. Subsequent compilations would mix the two sides more freely, and, ironically enough, later in the same year as the release of 13, Elektra offered the first formal glimpse of that more serious side of the Doors' music with the concert album Absolutely Live; the latter, even with its carefully airbrushed cover shot of lead singer Jim Morrison — by then very scruffy looking with his beard — would totally miss the mass appeal enjoyed by 13, with its focus on blues pieces and decidedly adult works such as "Build Me a Woman." The latter quickly started turning up in cutout bins, while 13 remained popular for almost two decades, and became — along with the group's self-titled debut album — the most common first Doors album purchased by fans, this despite the fact that it was released too early to contain their last two singles, "Love Her Madly" and "Riders on the Storm" (which made it onto the more FM-oriented Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine two years later)."                 NO RESERVE

All unsealed LP's are thoroughly inspected and cleaned on a Nitty Gritty model 2.5 record cleaning machine. Many are then play graded on a high end turntable; if played it will be mentioned in the description. All come with a new 3 mil poly outer sleeve for protection. All unsealed LP's also are shipped inside a new inner sleeve to avoid edge splits to the original sleeve.

For U.S. mail shipments, please add $4.00 for media mail, up to 12 records,  or $7.00 for priority mail and $2.00 for each additional record purchased. 

All items shipped in sturdy cardboard mailers with two filler pads added for protection.  For two extra pads, please add $1.00 to shipping.  Insurance coverage is also recommended for domestic shipments. 

Record ships outside of cover to avoid seam splits.

Grading

MINT * Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks. A mint record is uncommon.

M- * Very clean only a few light marks; plays very well.
M- * Album cover - Near perfect with only minor signs of wear. There should be no ring wear.

VG++ * Surface marks, no scratches, should play and look very good with faint, if any, audible surface noise.
VG++ * Album cover - Some minor ring wear, but  should be in good condition overall.  Also, there can be some minor creases in the corners but no splits in seams.

VG+ * The record shows signs of use, but plays well despite quite visible surface marks and possibly some light scratches. This grading is often used for records which have not been cared for perfectly but still play well overall. A few very faint clicks may be allowed, and will be included in the description.
VG+ * Album cover - May have corners that may be slightly bent, but not broken. There may be wear to the seams but no tears or holes.

VG * Still a nice record, looks used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays fairly well. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music.
VG * Album cover - There may be seam splitting, but not complete separation of the sleeve panels from each other. There will be noticeable ring wear on the cover, but the cover should for the most part be in good condition.
