Description

THE CURE "KILLING AN ARAB" c/w "10.15 SATURDAY NIGHT" UK Original Small Wonder Label (Small 11) 7" Single. Released: January 1979 (Although others say it was 21st December 1978 and the label says its 1978 - The Fiction Label reissue came out in February 1979 - I have both and bought them as soon as I could get my hands on them).
Vinyl Record is in "VG++" because it does seem to have slightly lost its sheen. I have play-graded it as well as visually graded it and it plays very well despite both songs being very quiet. There is some very slight surface noise, especially during the intro, but nothing to detract from the enjoyment of this classic single. The Sleeve is in "EXCELLENT" Condition. See photos.
* The Cure's debut single. Both songs are credited to the trio of Lol Tolhurst (drums - who somehow became the keyboard-player later), Mike Demsey (bass - they were never the same after he left) and Robert Smith (who IS The Cure these days!). We were lucky enough to catch them at The Nashville Room, West Kensington in February 1979 and were knocked out by their show. Very impressed by Tolhurst's see-through perspex drum kit too! We also saw them supporting Wire at Friar's in Aylesbury in June 1979.
OK, so they went on to much greater things, but the minimalist excitement unleashed here on these two pocket-dramas was a real pointer to all that was to come from this most original of groups. * UK BIDDERS ONLY: SENT 2nd Class Large Letter - SIGNED-FOR
