THE CREATION: Painter Man / Biff, Bang, Pow (´67 / very rare orig. German issue / HITTON HT 300 073 / yellow-black-white label / on offer here is the 1st p/s variation with 11 adverts for other records on the backside (there is a 2nd p/s variation in existence, which has 13 adverts for other records on the back sleeve) / further there are also a few minor differences on the frontside: this p/s has a darker tone of the red colour, while most sleeves have a slightly lighter red tone with a very slight touch of orange colour in it - until recently these - very! - slight variations of the red colour were more or less "unknown" (in other words: collectors either didn´t recognize any differences or they thought these were more or less coincidental), but if you have all picture sleeve variations - including a 3rd variation with yet another shade of red - together in one place, it will become more obvious! - apart from these minor colour differences the frontsides of the 1st p/s variation and of the 2nd p/s variation are identical)

CONDITION P/S: VG(+) to VG+
CONDITION VINYL: VG(-)

DESCRIPTION:

tiny seam split at the bottom (just a few millimeters, barely worth mentioning!) / the corners and the top of the p/s are a bit bent, and there are just a few light scuffs at the top (but there are no tears into the top opening!) / the frontside is otherwise in superb condition with a very slight impression of the record´s center, but almost without ringwear / the backside of the sleeve has a light (to medium-strong) ringwear and a slightly stronger impression of the record´s center / further there are - minimal! - discolourations on the left upper corner of the back sleeve and on the right side in the lower part of the back sleeve: there are rather thin and very "soft" water lines, but you will only notice this on closer inspection / overall there´s a certain "gap" between the superb condition of the frontside (ca. VG+(+) ) and the somewhat lesser condition of the back sleeve (ca. VG ) - for the general grade above I´ve used a mixed grading of both sides / the record has some hairlines and a few, but only minor surface scratches, and further the vinyl looks just a little bit blotchy (but not quite as much as on most other copies of "Painter Man") / the labels are clean
