Description

Here we have one of the rarest records in the genre of Irish Folk ever made, The Coterie's A Swing to Folk (Mono) was released in 1969 and only around 20-30 were actually sold and the rest were simply binned. This copy has had some use in its time and has a few marks and scuffs but still sounds pretty good for all that. Pictures here were taken on a camera phone, so apologies for their quality. The cover is a little dirty but can be cleaned; some liquid appears to have dripped on the back (see the fourth picture) but again I imagine someone who knows what they're doing can fix this. The corner has been rubbed away (see picture three) and this has taken some text away from the back but it is still clear that it was printed by Clout (and Baker). On picture four you will also see the peephole showing the red mono bag inside. Having 1B dead wax matrices, this shows it to be a first pressing and in fact there was only one. This should have been a big seller and is sought after today, but got the Dublin based foursome precisely nowhere. A shame, but here is a copy of this fine disc that plays well despite the odd crackle and slight pop.
