Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This highly collectible and ultra rare four (4) song, very 1st Clovers' EP is on the original, black with silver lettering, Atlantic Label, and is entitled "The Clovers Sing", by the legendary 50's DooWop/RnB/RnR group, The Clovers, from 1953. The EP features a great, though very small, cover shot of the group, and four classic songs, including their big hit "One Mint Julep" and three others. It is worth mentioning here that I have over 100 other 1950-60's EPs to sell in current and future auctions (although I will be on vacation for a couple of weeks in late April), so please continue to check out my site. But for now, please continue to read on and check out all the descriptions and pictures about this record. LABEL INFO: It is on the original, Atlantic Label---504---and it is in extremely nice condition. This copy is an original very 1st pressing, and I see absolutely no spindle lines around the center hole at all, which indicates to me that the EP wasn't played very much, if even at all; VINYL INFO: The vinyl is extremely shiny, clean and nice with absolutely no flaws to report at all. To me, it appears practically unplayed and "like new"---it is truly that clean and nice: JACKET INFO: This beautiful jacket is also really nice with no serious flaws either---espiecally for it's age and what it is. Very small scuff marks in a couple of the corners and some expected, normal wear and tear dirt spots (primarily on the back side only) are about all I have to say negative at all. The front looks just great!! In my opinion, although it isn't as clean and perfect as the day it was 1st purchased over 50 years ago, it really isn't all that far from it either (see the pictures below and judge for yourself); INTERESTING FACTS: You just don't see this extremely rare, early, and original Clovers EP (their very 1st for Atlantic Records) out there anymore---not at all---and I have several others listed in this week's auctions as well, with many more to come real soon (including 45's/EP's/LP's by Frankie Avalon, Gene Krupa, The Platters, The Beatles, The Fireballs, The Chordettes, Joe Turner, Ike and Tina Turner, Otis Redding and many others--even EPs by several oldtime C&W artists).
