Here’s the original ‘Promo Not For Sale’ UK demo of The Clash’s 3rd single proper released on 23rd September, 1977. This is the complete package with a superb condition picture sleeve, big A / not for sale labels and really well looked after vinyl.
The sleeve is in great nick – EX+ (Excellent Plus). One faint crease to the rear bottom corner and faint edge rubs but no writing, splits, stickers, tears, residue or bends/ripples.
The labels are superb – again no writing or stickers or other damage and hardly any spindle evidence around the centre hole – maybe one or two super faint trails to one side only. Superb vintage demo labels!
The vinyl is also fantastic. Couple of soft sleeve removal lines but that’s about it. Close to mint really but I’ll go EX+ (Excellent Plus) again, hoping to please. NO scratches, nicks or embedded dirt and still maintains a great shine. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays brilliantly – no snap or crackle, no distortion. Couple of soft ticks if you’re listening for digital silence but what’s the point it’s a full-blooded analogue recording!
