CONDITION:
Vinyl is EX with little to no signs of wear
Cover is VG+ with mild edge and corner wear
Carol King was an iconic songwriter from New York. After her divorce from Gerry Goffin, she moved to Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles and wanted to resurrect her recording career. She formed a band with Danny Kortchmar (guitars) and Charles Larkey (bass), who would later become her husband. One album was recorded with Jim Gordon on drums. The album was released but Carol was reluctant to play live and sales stalled. Distributors were changed and the LP died a quick death.
Musically soft rock but a quality professional sound. Think BS&T without the horns, maybe like Carly Simon or possibly Carol King. It's certain that the Wrecking Crew had some players in the mix during the sessions.
This was the only album. It was dead but brought back to life in the 80's after a radio station in Cleveland played "Snow Queen" from the LP often. The song is included here.
